Of course, by using the feature phone for calls and messages, the battery of the Pop Mega can be saved and used for media and entertainment purposes. Alcatel is releasing other Pop phones like the $150 4-inch Pop Star and the 5-inch Pop Icon designed for first-time Smartphone buyers. Regarding the price, Alcatel phablet Mega Pop is offered at a price of $ 249 , includes extra handset Buddy.
Shipments of phablets are forecast to overtake global tablet sales next year, according to analysts at IDC, and by 2018, a third of the world's smart phones will be phablets, compared to the present 14 per cent.
