The Canon PowerShot SX700 is a travel zoom compact camera,The impressive 30x optical zoom lens delivers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 25-750mm to allow you to produce an amazing range of images, including wide-angle landscapes and portraits. The camera delivers sharp, high quality photos and video is shot at 60fps with high quality stereo sound, and creative shooting modes add a unique twist to your shots. A built-in Intelligent IS stabilisation system minimises camera shake to assist with capturing sharper images in poor lighting conditions and deliver razor sharp results at the telephoto end of the zoom. A sensitive 16.1 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor is combined with a powerful DIGIC 6 image processor to deliver true-to-life high resolution photos and tack-sharp video. Additionally, a Hybrid Auto mode can be activated to automatically capture 4-second movie clips while you take photos.
The new Wi-Fi connectivity includes remote shooting from smartphones and allows you to keep your images backed up with Image Sync, which lets you wirelessly transfer shots to cloud storage destinations including Canon Image Gateway, Flickr and Google Drive. These features are matched note for note by our Editors' Choice Nikon Coolpix S9700. The S9700 edges out the SX700 when pushed to ISO 800 and adds in camera GPS, but aside from those differences two cameras are quite similar.
Canon's optical stabilisation system is excellent—you just have to remember to switch it on—but it's above all the "Zoom Framing Assist" function that makes all the difference in this PowerShot. Basically, "Zoom Framing Assist" zooms in and out automatically to help keep your shot focused and framed as it should be. First things first—the SX700 HS still doesn't let you take a photo while filming video. Otherwise, the SX700 HS is as effective as its predecessor, with pleasant image quality, a quiet zoom lens, a good continuous autofocus and decent-quality audio. SLR shooters are used to seeing a mode dial, but it's a rarity on compact cameras. It's got positions for full automatic shooting, as well as the standard Manual, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, and Program settings. Canon has put its Creative Shot mode, first seen in the PowerShot N, in the SX700. It captures a series of images with different color filters and crops; the final includes your original image and five filtered shots.
The Canon PowerShot SX700 HS will be available with an SRP of £329.00/€399.00/$349.99 or 4 million IDR in indonesia.
