Huawei has a new series dubbed Honor for Honor 4 Play with some new additional features compared to the recently announced Honor Play 3C. The new Smartphone comes with 4G LTE support.
The smartphone also has faux-leather textured back cover,The new Honor 4 Play uses 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 while the 3C Play has MediaTek SoC. The processor is quad-core clocked at 1.2 GHz speed.
Other features are almost similar, 4 Play sports a 5-inch 720p touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera for video call and selfies. The difference is that the 4 Play only has 8GB of internal storage while the 3C Play packs 16GB of storage.
Honor Play 4 is set to go on sale for just around $130 tomorrow 23rd on Huawei’s own Vmall Chinese store and its destined for China telecom only for now. Huawei might update the devices Android 4.4.3 OS to Android L when its available to grant the full advantage of 64bit computing. Don’t expect much of a speed difference just because this processor supports 64bit computing, but power consumption will be lower due to ARM Cortex A53 instruction set and it will run cooler. For the price of $130 we really can’t complain but Huawei too have nearly same price alternatives such as Honor 3C if you are stuck at making a choice.
The Huawei Honor 4 Play is powered by a Quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU processor with 1 GB RAM. The device also has 8 GB internal storage + (C) and a 5-inch Capacitive touchscreen (720 x 1280 , 294 ppi) display. It has a 8MP rear camera and supports Wifi, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. It packs in a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery, running on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).
