The largest notebook on the market, the Alienware 18 weighs an impressive 12.2 pounds and measures 2.2 inches thick. The Alienware 18′s angled exterior resembles a stealth aircraft. The Alienware 18 is a rather large device. Just like the Alienware 14 and  17, the 18.4 inch (1920 x 1080 display ) version also has an extremely high-quality display cover, which is made of anodized aluminum according to the official specifications. The manufacturer uses a soft rubberized surface for the display bezel and the area around the keyboard. Otherwise, the case leaves a great impression.

Like other Alienware notebooks, the Alienware 18 features the AlienFX customizable LED lighting system. The notebook features several distinct lighting zones; the keyboard itself has four zones. The matte black surfaces have a soft rubberized coating that hides dust and fingerprints well.
The Alienware 18 has everything from HDMI in/out to dual headphone jacks and a slot-loading optical drive.The standard 18.4″ display – the largest available on any notebook  has a FHD (1920×1080) resolution and glossy surface coating. While the battery is secured with two screws, the optical drive and the hard drive bay (2x 2.5-inch) are fixed with four screws, hort battery life of 1 hour 58 minutes isn't enough for a long gaming session. Besides, you'd want full power for your gaming sessions. Between the three case fans are also an mSATA slot and two memory slots. The wireless module and the secondary memory slots (four memory slots for up to 32 GB) should be beneath the keyboard . the Alienware 18 averaged 168 frames per second. That's about 60 fps higher than the MSI GT70, and about 70 fps higher than average.

The large touchpad has an excellent anti-glare surface and two physical buttons. The touchpad is also a lighting zone; users can change the lighting color or turn if off via the installed AlienFX application.  Alienware 18 is the standard configuration for 2,200 Euros ( or $2975) with 8 GB RAM, a Core i7-4700MQ, a 750 GB hard drive, a DVD burner as well as two GeForce GTX 765M GPUs. Instead of a Core i7-4900MQ, Retail price: 4,260 Euros ( or $5761).
