ASUS Transformer Book T100TA is a unified ultraportable that combines the productivity features of a laptop with the easy portability of a tablet and you can change between the two in an instant. On one hand, the Asus Transformer Book T100 can be seen as the continuer of the Asus VivoTab (now with Windows 8.1), or, on the other hand, as a cheaper competitioner for Microsoft’s Surface Pro 2, where the dock and keyboard take on the role of Type Cover. Like the previous Asus Transformers, this is basically a tablet with a detachable keyboard. When the display and the keyboard are connected, the T100 becomes a notebook, albeit a small one and The T100TA’s small keyboard felt a little cramped at times, but it’s pleasant to type on once you get used to its size and the spacing of its compact keys. The tiny all-in-one touchpad, on the other hand, proved more friendly to use. It was fine for moving the cursor across the screen and for clicking files and folders, but we found multi-touch gestures such as pinch-zooming difficult to control.

ASUS Transformer Book T100TA specifications :
The display and keyboard are covered with grey plastic and seem convincing when held. Weighing 544 grams, the Transformer Book T100 is one of the lighter 10-inch tablets, however, its dimensions of 264 x 170 x 10.4 mm make it not one of the slimmer ones. The T100 has few ports, though, with just a single USB 3.0 (type A) port on the keyboard dock, a micro SD card reader, micro USB and (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) HDMI ports, and a combined headphone and microphone jack. Note that if you use a lower powered USB port, it may take the better part of a day to recharge the tablet, so use a 10W/2.1Amp USB adapter for best results (we tested with the included adapter, a low powered USB adapter for a smartphone, and another high powered USB adapter designed for recharging tablets). Dual band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 are the Transformer Book T100TA's built-in wireless protocols. through with this full version of Office, the Transformer Book T100TA has Amazon's Kindle applications, Skype, Netflix and a few Asus applications pre installed. The Transformer Book T100TA automatically changes the screen color balance toward a more yellow/sepia tone while using the built in Windows 8.1 Mail, Reader, and News apps. The Transformer Book T100TA comes with a standard one-year warranty and a 30-day zero bright dot display guarantee.

The T100TA has 32 Gigabyte of storage space, but only 28.2 Gigabyte was available for use, so you may want to pay more for the 64 Gigabyte version if you need to store a lot of files. As the T100TA runs the full version of Windows 8.1 you can install any program you like on it, which makes it look better value in comparison to Windows RT devices such as the Microsoft Surface 2. The Asus Transformer Book T100 comes with a 1366 x 768-pixel IPS (In Plane Switching) display, which provides a humble pixel density of 148 ppi on a 10.1-inch diagonal. The difference in relation to tablets with an evidently greater pixel density than the Transformer Book T100 is visible with the naked eye.
At $ 340 or about £ 213, the Asus Transformer Book T100 must be the cheapest laptop-tablet hybrid we’ve seen
