The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is the latest mainstay device from the Chinese manufacturer, but rather than replace the Ascend P7 it slides in above into the ever growing "phablet" market. The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a very large phone, one whose display is close to tablet-like proportions, make no mistake. Large screen, large battery, slim metal body. So it's another winner from Huawei on the design front. Besides the metal construction. The good news is the Ascend Mate 7 is smaller than its 6.1 inch predecessor - the bad news though is the screen is still a whopping 6 inches in size. The screen may only be a touch smaller than the Mate 2, but Huawei has done an impressive job of slimming down the bezels around the display of the Ascend Mate 7. Compared to the Mate 2, the Ascend Mate 7 is 17 percent thinner and 10 percent lighter, and no bad for a handset sporting an aluminium unibody.
The Mate 7 present with Android 4.4.2 KitKat onboard (customized with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 UI), which is disappointing as that's a couple of versions out of date (version 4.4.4 is the most up to date version of Android around) and also comes with Huawei’s custom user interface, EMUI 3.0, it measures 157 milimeter tall by 81 milimeter wide by 7.9 milimeter thick and it weighs in at around 185 gram. mate 7 The Ascend Mate 7 has a 6 inch IPS LCD display with a 1080 X 1920 resolution and 367 pixel per inch (ppi) pixel density, octa core HiSilicon Kirin 925 central processing unit (CPU), Mali-T628 MP4 Graphic Processing Unit (GPU), 3 Gigabyte of RAM and 32 Gigabyte expandable storage, 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) plus 9 axis sensor, LTE Cat 6, Bluetooth 4.0 and Near Field Communication (NFC). With no physical home button like you'd find on Samsung or Apple hardware, the Mate 7's scanner resides on the rear of the phone. However, unlike Samsung (used in phones like the Note 4 and Galaxy S5) and Apple, Huawei has opted for a single-touch activation fingerprint scanner. Much like LG has accomplished with the placement of its rear facing buttons, Huawei has nailed the position of its rear facing fingerprint scanner and plus a 5 MP front-facing camera, 13 MP rear camera and a 4100 mAh battery
In terms of price the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 starts at an surprisingly reasonable sounding €500 (around £400, $650, AU$690 or about 7 million IDR in indonesia) for the 16GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM model, with the choice of black or silver.
Update : Huawei reports that it has sold more than 1 million Ascend Mate 7 units in the first month of sales. when the device was both announced, and released. Most of the units were likely sold in China market, since the huawei Mate7 is not widely available around the world yet.
