Printer Epson EcoTank, With two models having been confirmed for launch the Epson EcoTank L355 and L555 the printers will ship with enough ink to handle 2 years’ worth of printing. “Epson is now responding to customer needs by launching the epson EcoTank L555 and L355 range for western Europe.

With both models utilising Micro Piezo technology, the high-end EcoTank L555 builds on the L355’s print, L555 also doubling as a fax machine and coming with an LCD display and 30-page automatic document feeder.”Rather than cartridges, the devices contain reservoirs that Epson said can hold enough ink to print 4,000 black and white pages or 6,500 colour pages. Once the ink has run out, the reservoirs can be refilled by the user at home, although Epson claimed they will need to use "original" Epson Ink.
Both devices have print, copy and scanning functions, and support Wi-Fi connectivity.
Epson EcoTank ink types :
The new Epson EcoTank models use different ink formulation to the ink used in other printers in the current Epson range. The EcoTank L555 models use a dye ink, rather than a pigment ink. Expert view – a welcome step towards ink cost clarity

Epson EcoTank price :
Having ditched the traditional cartridge reliant subsidised printer model, the EcoTank machines trade cheaper per-page print costs for a higher up-front fee. While the L355 will set wannabe owners back £250, the EcoTank L555 price has been set at £330. Additional ink bottles will be priced at £8 apiece.
